Tour Plan

Day 01 Aswan – Temples and Tranquility

Your journey into antiquity begins in Aswan, where you will be warmly welcomed aboard your luxurious Nile cruise vessel. After settling into your well-appointed cabin and enjoying a delightful lunch, your exploration begins with a visit to the magnificent Philae Temple. Accessible by a scenic boat ride, this island sanctuary dedicated to the goddess Isis showcases stunning Ptolemaic architecture with its elegant columns and detailed reliefs, all saved from the rising waters of the Nile. Later, experience the timeless charm of the river aboard a traditional wooden felucca sailboat, gliding peacefully around the botanical gardens of Kitchener's Island. Return to your cruise ship for a welcome dinner and a relaxing evening as you dock overnight in Aswan.

Day 02 Kom Ombo & Edfu – Gods of the Nile

Awake to the gentle motion of sailing and enjoy a sumptuous breakfast as the Nile's ever-changing landscapes unfold before you. Your first stop is the unique Temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to two gods: the crocodile-headed Sobek and the falcon-headed Horus. Its symmetrical dual design and ancient medical reliefs provide a fascinating glimpse into the past. You then sail onward to Edfu, where a classic horse-drawn carriage transports you through the town to the incredibly well-preserved Temple of Horus. This massive Ptolemaic structure, dedicated to the falcon god, is the most complete ancient temple in Egypt, allowing you to walk through its grand pylons, courtyards, and hypostyle halls virtually as the ancients did. Dinner is served as you continue your voyage toward Luxor.

Day 03 Luxor East Bank – The Living City

After breakfast onboard, you will cross the Esna lock and sail towards Luxor, the site of ancient Thebes. Today is dedicated to exploring the East Bank, beginning with the colossal Karnak Temple Complex, a vast open-air museum of architecture built over 2,000 years. Walk through the awe-inspiring Great Hypostyle Hall, a forest of 134 massive columns, and discover the sacred lake and myriad of chapels. After lunch, visit the majestic Luxor Temple, famously connected to Karnak by a long avenue of sphinxes. Best visited in the late afternoon, its colonnades and statues take on a magical glow as the sun sets. Enjoy your final dinner and overnight on the ship, docked in Luxor.

Day 4 Luxor West Bank – Thebes of the Dead & Departure

Enjoy one last breakfast on board before checking out and embarking on a final exploration of the West Bank, the necropolis of ancient Thebes. Here, you will descend into the world-famous Valley of the Kings, the burial ground of Tutankhamun and other great pharaohs, where you can explore several of its beautifully decorated tombs (entry to 3 tombs included). Next, visit the dramatic Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, a modern-looking terraced structure carved directly into the towering desert cliffs at Deir el-Bahari. Your journey through history concludes at the towering Colossi of Memnon, the two massive stone statues that are all that remain of the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III. Following the tour, you will be transferred to Luxor Airport or your hotel.
